This was the first time Jon Williams showed slides while I played, and his two projectors added a beautiful counterpoint to the music which has remained essential to the live show ever since. You can see his slides in photos from the album launch (click here to link to the photos page). As the flyer suggests, this was also meant to be the first gig in ages by Angel Tech, one of my favourite Bristol bands. Due to some confusion over dates they ended up not playing, but fortunately the mighty Gravenhurst was selected to fill their shoes.
